3-piece Threaded Ball Valve Construction And Installation Key Points
Key Points for the Construction and Installation of 3 Piece Threaded Ball Valve
1) The installation position, height, and inlet and outlet directions must comply with design requirements, and the connection must be secure and tight.
2) The handles of all manual valves installed on insulated pipes must not be facing downward.
3) Before installation, the valve must be visually inspected, and the valve nameplate must comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" (GB 12220). Valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and valves serving as shut-off valves on main pipelines must undergo strength and tightness performance tests before installation and are permitted for use only after passing the tests. During the strength test, the test pressure must be 1.5 times the nominal pressure for a duration of at least 5 minutes. The valve body and packing must show no leakage for acceptance. During the tightness test, the test pressure must be 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test pressure and duration must meet the requirements of GB 50243. Acceptance is determined by the absence of leakage on the disc sealing surface.
4) Install a gasket between the valve flange and the pipeline flange according to the pipeline design requirements.
5) For ball valves with transmission mechanisms, install them according to the product instructions.
