Threaded Ball Valve Degreasing Method Notes
I.Threaded Ball Valve Cleaning Procedure: Valve components must undergo the following treatments before assembly:
1. Depending on processing requirements, some components may require polishing, and the surface must be free of burrs.
2. All components must be degreased.
3. After degreasing, perform pickling and passivation using a phosphorus-free cleaning agent.
4. After pickling and passivation, rinse thoroughly with pure water to ensure no residual chemical residue. This step is omitted for carbon steel components.
5. Dry each component with a non-woven cloth, ensuring no lint or other debris remains on the surface. Alternatively, blow dry with clean nitrogen.
6. Wipe each component with a non-woven cloth or fine filter paper dipped in analytical-grade alcohol until no stains remain.
II. Assembly Requirements:
Cleaned components must be sealed and stored for installation. Installation requirements are as follows:
1. The installation workshop must be kept clean, or a temporary clean area must be established, such as using newly purchased tarpaulin or plastic sheeting, to prevent dust from entering during installation.
2. Assembly workers must wear clean cotton work clothes, a cotton hat, and hair must not be exposed. They must also wear clean shoes and plastic gloves. Degrease must be performed.
3. Assembly tools must be degreased and cleaned before assembly to ensure cleanliness.
III. Other Requirements:
1. The assembled valve must be purged with nitrogen for at least one minute.
2. The airtightness test must be performed using pure nitrogen.
3. After passing the airtightness test, the valve must be sealed with a clean polyethylene cap. The polyethylene cap must be soaked in an organic solvent and wiped clean before use.
4. The valve must then be sealed with a vacuum bag.
5. Finally, the valve must be packed.
6. Measures must be taken to ensure that the seals are not damaged during transportation.
4. Acceptance Requirements
Acceptance must comply with HG 20202-2000, "Specifications for Degreasing Engineering Construction and Acceptance." Before assembly, each component must be wiped with clean precision filter paper, carefully selecting the blind spots of the component. Acceptance is considered acceptable if the filter paper does not change color.
