Three Factors To Judge The Quality Of 3-piece Threaded Ball Valve
The quality of an 3 Piece Threaded Ball Valve can be judged based on three aspects: appearance, torque performance, and sealing performance. If all three of these aspects are satisfactory, then the valve is reliable. How can this be used to determine quality?
1. Appearance Inspection of Electric Fluorine-lined Ball Valves:
Appearance-wise, check whether the bolts have sufficient adjustment margin, the ball is free of cracks, and the threads are free of defects.
2. Torque Testing of Electric Fluorine-lined Ball Valves:
When a ball valve is subjected to a certain torque, it will leak. Therefore, when selecting a ball valve, it is necessary to perform torque resistance testing to accurately determine the torque resistance of the ball valve, distinguish the performance of various ball valves, and apply a torque that matches the torque when it is put into use. Torque testing can be performed using a ball valve torque testing machine.
3. Sealing Testing of Electric Fluorine-lined Ball Valves:
Sealing performance testing is essential for ball valves used for medium-pressure, high-pressure, and flammable hazardous media. During this test, the air in the cavity should be exhausted as much as possible before applying pressure, ventilation, or water to the ball valve. If water is used for the leak test, any ball valve that passes the test should be promptly drained of any accumulated water, sealed, and the sealing surfaces painted with anti-rust paint. The inlet and outlet of the ball valve should be sealed, and a test record should be completed for future use. Ball valves that fail the test should be immediately disassembled for inspection and reassembled for testing. A ball valve leak tester can also be used to test the leaks.
To determine the quality of an electric fluorine-lined ball valve, you can use the above-mentioned inspections. If the seal, torque, and appearance are good, then the electric fluorine-lined ball valve is of good quality.
