How Does The 2-piece Ball Valve Seal?

2 Piece Ball Valve use polymer materials for sealing. What is their purpose?

Hard-seal ball valves are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, and urban central heating. However, ball valves made of PTFE polymer seals cannot be used in operating conditions with temperatures exceeding 280°C or when conveying fine particles. Hard-seal ball valves using metal seals can experience various issues when rotating the ball, depending on their structure.

For example, metal elastic seat seals create significant friction because there is no gap between the elastic seat and the ball. Metal floating seat seals struggle to seal between the floating seat and the valve body. Combined ball-spread seals, with their numerous components and complex structure, increase processing difficulty and manufacturing cost. This design is particularly unsuitable for small-diameter hard-seal ball valves. After repeated analysis and testing, and with the help of CAD-assisted design, we successfully developed the Q47H cam-eccentric single-seat fixed-type hard-seal ball valve.
