3-way Threaded Ball Valve Internal Structure And Usage

Date:

Product Overview:
3 Way Threaded Ball Valve have been widely used in various fields in recent years. Their quality and stability have earned them widespread acceptance and recognition. Their service life far exceeds that of steel butterfly valves and conventional welded ball valves.

Applications:
Steel welded ball valves are used in various pipeline systems, including city gas, city heating, petrochemicals, shipbuilding, steel, pressure regulating stations, and power plants. Fully welded ball valves offer long-term, reliable operation, are maintenance-free, and operate simply. Installation is more convenient, saving time and reducing project costs. Their service life is the same as the pipeline's.

Technical Features of Steel Welded Ball Valves:
1. The valve body is integrally welded, eliminating external leakage.
2. The valve seat, composed of a PTFE sealing ring and spring, is highly adaptable to pressure and temperature fluctuations, ensuring zero leakage within its operating range. 3. The valve stem features a leak-proof structure with a PTFE self-sealing gasket and an O-ring at the bottom, and two O-rings and two PTFE gaskets at the top, ensuring no leakage.
4. The valve body is made of the same material as the pipeline, eliminating uneven stress and preventing deformation from earthquakes or vehicles passing over the ground.
5. The valve body is lightweight and easy to insulate.
6. Direct-buried ball valves can be buried directly underground, eliminating the need for a large valve well. Only a small, shallow well is required, significantly reducing construction costs and time.
7. The valve body length and stem height can be adjusted according to pipeline construction and design requirements.
8. The ball is machined with exceptional precision, making operation easy and eliminating interference.

Precautions for installing a steel welded ball valve:

Valve well masonry. The welded ball valve features a unique structural design, making it maintenance-free. Before burial, the valve exterior is coated with a special Pu anti-corrosion coating. Three injection pipes, one for emergency grease injection of the valve seat and stem, one for the center cavity vent pipe, and the valve stem are appropriately extended according to the depth of the burial, allowing operators to perform all operations from above ground. After direct burial, a small valve hand well can be constructed.

Lifting.

The valve should be lifted properly. To protect the valve stem, do not attach the lifting chain to the handwheel, gearbox, or actuator. The protective caps on both ends of the valve sleeve should be retained before welding.

Welding.

The welded ball valve is connected to the main pipeline by welding. When ordering valves, you should ask the manufacturer to add 1.0m long sleeves at both ends of the valve. Once the weld is unqualified, there is enough length to cut off the unqualified weld and re-weld it. When welding the ball valve to the pipeline, the valve should be in the 100% fully open position to prevent the valve ball from being damaged by splashing welding slag. At the same time, ensure that the temperature of the internal seal of the valve does not exceed 140 degrees Celsius. Appropriate cooling measures can be taken if necessary.
