With the accelerating pace of industrial production and the continuous increase in manufacturing capacity, the assembly of various complex and large structural components has placed higher demands on welding technology. Welding is a key technology in modern manufacturing, and is the third largest industry after assembly and machining. Therefore, actively exploring ways to automate the welding process and enhance the intelligence of welding equipment for Wafer Ball Valve gas shielding devices is crucial for improving the efficiency of gas shielded welding of stainless steel ball valves and reducing production energy consumption.

Using image sensing technology as the research object, the relationship between the morphological changes of the welding arc and the spatial position of the welding torch during tungsten inert gas welding was analyzed. Based on this, an intelligent stainless steel valve ball gas shielded welding test device was designed. Digital image preprocessing techniques mainly include image smoothing, binarization, and mathematical morphology processing. The performance of the gas shielded stainless steel ball valve device was demonstrated by comparing the smoothing effects of mean and median filters on welding arc images.
