Working Conditions And Operation Of Piece Ball Valve
With the advancement of science and technology and people's livelihoods in my country, the influence of valves has gradually expanded in recent years, not only in the industrial sector, but also in the civilian sector.
Key Points for Valve Installation
1. The installation position, height, and inlet and outlet directions must conform to design requirements. The direction of flow of the fine medium should be aligned with the arrow marked on the valve body, and the connection should be secure and tight.
2. Before installing the valve, a surface inspection must be performed. The valve nameplate should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking." Valves with a working pressure greater than 1.0 MPa and those serving as shut-off valves on main pipelines must undergo strength and precision performance tests before installation. Only valves that pass the strength test must meet the requirements. The test pressure must be 1.5 times the nominal pressure and the test duration must be no less than 5 minutes. The valve body and packing must be leak-free for acceptance. The precision test must meet the requirements for 1.1 times the nominal pressure and the test duration must meet the requirements.
1) The Piece Ball Valve has two floating valve seats, each designed to seal in both directions. This allows for both bidirectional sealing and simultaneous sealing of both inlet and outlet ports. The valve seats utilize an O-ring seal and a spring-loaded floating seat structure. When the Piece Ball Valve expands due to heat, causing the pressure in the center cavity to exceed the pressure in the pipeline, the pressure differential between the media on both sides of the Piece Ball Valve seat pushes the floating seat away from the gate, allowing the center cavity pressure to be released into the pipeline through the gap between the gate and the seat, effectively protecting the safety of the Piece Ball Valve. Furthermore, the opening and closing torque of this structure is only half that of a conventional valve, enabling easy opening and closing of the valve.
2) The Piece Ball Valve seat features PTFE inlaid on the sealing surface, providing both PTFE-to-metal and metal-to-metal sealing. The PTFE sealing surface also acts as a barrier to the gate. This metal-to-metal seal offers exceptional sealing performance and erosion resistance. Suspended particles in the pipeline medium will not affect the seal, ensuring zero leakage. It fully and actively compensates for wear on the sealing surface. Under high temperatures, the Piece Ball Valve will not cause the gate to seize due to expansion, making it suitable for applications with frequent opening and closing.
3) The Piece Ball Valve body and bonnet are equipped with grease injection valves. Grease enters the valve seat sealing surface through the grease injection valves on the Piece Ball Valve, providing auxiliary sealing and ensuring a more reliable seal with zero leakage. Grease can be injected through the grease injection valve on the bonnet through the packing spacer ring and between the valve stem and packing, providing auxiliary sealing and ensuring a reliable seal.
