2 Piece Ball Valve Operating Environment

In addition to paying attention to piping parameters, the 2 Piece Ball Valve also requires special attention to the environmental conditions in which it is used. Since the electric device in the 2 Piece Ball Valve is an electromechanical device, its environmental conditions have a significant impact. Under normal circumstances, special precautions should be taken when using electric ball valves and butterfly valves in the following environments.

1. Indoor installation or outdoor use with protective measures;

2. Outdoor installation exposed to wind, sand, rain, dew, and sunlight;

3. Environments with flammable or explosive gases or dust;

4. Environments in humid and dry tropical regions;

5. Pipeline media temperatures exceeding 450°C;

6. Ambient temperatures below -20°C;

7. Susceptible to flooding or immersion in water;

1. 2 Piece Ball Valve wiring method;

8. Environments with radioactive materials (nuclear power plants and radioactive material testing equipment);

9. On ships or in docks (exposed to salt spray, mold, and humidity);

10. Environments with severe vibration; Environments prone to fire.

For electric ball valves used in the above environments, the electric actuator structure, materials, and protective measures vary. Therefore, the appropriate electric actuator should be selected based on the above environmental conditions. Functional Requirements

Based on project control requirements, the control function of an electric ball valve is performed by an electric actuator. The purpose of using an electric ball valve is to provide non-manual electrical or computer control of the valve's opening, closing, and adjustment linkage. The current use of electric actuators is no longer simply for labor conservation. Because the functions and quality of products from different manufacturers vary significantly, selecting the electric actuator is as important as selecting the corresponding valve for the project.
